Registration opened: January 1, 2020
Registration closed: February 29, 2020
The 2020 travel registration is now open. Over the next several weeks, a series of email messages will go out to highlight the dates and changes that affect our membership and student athletes.
We have not raised registration costs for the upcoming season, please read our Travel Team fees for details. Scholarships through the CAC are available.
Travel Team Players will continue to be responsible for providing their own white baseball pants, maroon baseball socks (or stirrups) and maroon belt.
Travel Teams are designated by age level (e.g. 15U = 15 years old and under).
Player age level is determined by the player's age on April 30 of the current year. Players in their respective age groups must not reach the next age before May 1 of the current year. The NYBA gives priority to players that are in the same grade and meet the team age requirement. Players are not allowed to tryout for and play up a grade level unless an exception by the NYBA travel committee is granted.
10U (4th grade) and 11U (5th grade)
12U (6th grade)
13U (7th grade) and 14U (8th grade)
15U (9th grade)
In order to provide as many players an opportunity to participate in youth travel baseball, the NYBA gives priority to those that are in the same grade and meet the age requirement.
Players are not allowed to play up.
For 2020, the NYBA Travel Program will offer the following teams:
|Age||Team Type*||# of Teams||Levels|
|10U||Tournament||1 or 2||AA and A|
|11U||Tournament||2||AAA and AA|
|12U||Tournament/Travel||2||AA and A|
|13U||Travel||3||AAA, AA, and A|
|14U||Travel||2||AAA and AA|
