In-house Registration

2021 In-House Registration Information

Registration opens:  February 8, 2021

Registration closes: March 31, 2021 

*Registration requests received after the registration period will be considered based on enrollment and team sizes.  Late fees of $50 may apply.

Please review all information before beginning the registration process.

NYBA In-House teams are organized by players current grade level.  Player are not allowed to play up unless approved by the NYBA Board.

​​T-Ball - $99

  • Those turning 5 years old by Sept 1 and entering Kindergarten in the Fall or those currently enrolled in Kindergarten playing ball for the first time.

  • Single season from May 15-July 15, 2021

  • Tu/Sa from May 15-June 5, 2021; and T/TH June 8-July 15, 2021 with start times rotating between 6 and 7 pm (weeknight) and 9 and 10 (weekend)

Futures (coach pitch)  - $120

  • Those currently enrolled in 1st grade, or Kindergarteners who have played t-ball for at least one season.  

  • Single season from May 15-July 14, 2021

  • M/Sa from May 15-June 5, 2021; and M/W June 7-July 14, 2021 with start times rotating between 6 and 7 pm (weeknight) and 9 and 10 (weekend)

Rookies (machine pitch)  - $140

  • Those currently enrolled in 2nd and 3rd grade.

  • Season runs May 3- July 31, 2021; meeting on Tu/Th nights with varied start times between 5:45-6:15 (early round) or 7:15-7:45 (late round)

Minors (kid pitch) - $140

  • Those currently enrolled in 4th and 5th grade.

  • Evaluations will be held for ALL Minors players prior to the season to help best balance teams.  Players should plan to attend their grade level evaluation unless they are trying out for a Tournament team.  In that case, Tournament team tryout information will be shared with in-house for Minors team placement.

  • Season runs May 3- July 31, 2021; meeting on M/W nights with varied start times between 5:45-6:15 (early round) or 7:15-7:45 (late round)

SMCBL (Kid Pitch) - $150

  • Those currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

  • Days and times vary by week

July 15: Last day for Tball League
July XX: In-House Classic (Rookies and Minors League)


Similar to other organizations, will be collecting checks from each family for required DIBs hours.  Checks will be held until the completion of the season and then destroyed if hours are completed or cashed if hours are incomplete.  

Check amount:  Families will be required to provide a check for $250 per player (with a family max of $500) prior to players receiving their uniform or participating in games.

Required hours: Families will be required to volunteer 5 hours per player, with a max of 10 hours per family.  Hours will be posted prior to the season under the DIBs tab on the website for families to claim.

Check collection:  Opportunity to turn in checks will take place at multiple times prior to the season such as parent meetings, uniform fittings as well as initial practices and uniform distribution night, etc.

COVID Updates

02/22/21 - As the season approaches the NYBA Board will continue to monitor the COVID situation and recommendations as provided by the State and MDH.  We will also wait to receive direction from our governing bodies MBL/MBT and MYAS as to the protocols we will be required to put in place.  Please know that we hold the safety of our participants as a top priority and hope to have a plan in place for all kids to safely enjoy baseball this season.  Refunds will be available for any registrants who are not comfortable playing at the time the season starts so please register your player without concern.

**Please note: if you choose to purchase the insurance at the end of the registration process you are welcome to do so,  however, those claims are through a private party.  Insurance is not necessarily required to receive a full refund, although NYBA may recoup uniform expenses if already ordered.  If you choose to request a refund from NYBA we are not able to refund any portion of your insurance purchase cost, only the league cost.**
