The NYBA board believes in providing players and parents with options to help further develop baseball skills.

Assistant Baseball Coach / Recruiting Coordinator at St. Olaf College

Sean teaches English at Northfield HS and coaches baseball at St. Olaf. He is in his third season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the St. Olaf College baseball program in 2020-21.

He has been working with youth baseball players ages 4-23 year olds in the past, and is open to any age group. He's offering individual baseball lessons within the Northfield community this summer and beyond.

In his previous job, he was the head baseball coach at New Prague HS, and has worked extensively with the youth programs. His goal is to continue making positive connections with youth/MS/HS players and families through baseball.

Thomas Meland / Ryan Torbenson

Thomas and Ryan are teaming up to offer individual and group private baseball lessons for youth players in the Northfield area. 

Meland is a St. John's graduate from 2019, and a NHS class of 2015 graduate with years of baseball experience on the Raiders, Johnnies, and our hometown favorites, the Northfield Knights.

Torbenson is a 2020 graduate of St. Olaf College, and class of 2016 at NHS with an eye for baseball as he has played for the Raiders, Oles and teams up with Thomas on the Northfield Knights.

The NYBA does not promote these organizations, rather we want to give parents and players information to allow them to make more informed choices regarding their player's development.
